Digital Audio Processing
Digital audio processing includes any process which modifies the digitized
audio samples. Typical processes include
- Amplitude processing - modification
of the volume, channel mixing, vocal cut, dynamics processing, and normalization
- Delay effects - add echo, reverb, chorus
effects
- Filters - modification of the frequency content
including FFT filters and graphic equalizers
- Noise reduction - removal of clicks, pops,
and hiss reduction
- Special effects - convolution and distortion
- Time/Pitch modification - pitch bending, pitch
transformation preserving time, time modification preserving pitch
